Podcast to Shorts
turn episodes into shareable vertical clips

Convert podcast episodes into YouTube Shorts, TikToks, and Instagram Reels automatically. EditAssist transcribes the audio, finds the best soundbites, adds waveform audiograms or captions, and exports vertical clips ready for social.

01

Workflow

Ingest your podcast episode and the agent transcribes every speaker, identifies the strongest soundbites under 60 seconds, and ranks them by engagement signals: laughter, emphasis, narrative punch, and shareability. You can refine the selection with plain-English commands like 'only the moments where the guest tells a story'.

From the selected soundbites it builds vertical clips with your choice of waveform audiograms, burned-in captions, or both. It normalises loudness to -14 LUFS for streaming, adds safe-area framing, and exports across all social specs. The whole pipeline is local-first.

02

Prompts

  • Find the three best interview soundbites under 15 seconds.

  • Build an audiogram for the best 60 seconds of this episode.

  • Find the moment my guest tells the story about the taxi. It's gold.

  • Cut a 60-second teaser from the best argument in today's episode.

  • Create waveform audiograms for the 5 best quotes from this week's episode.

  • Detect every time I talk over my guest and flag it.

  • Normalise all dialogue to -14 LUFS.

  • Find all clips where dialogue overlaps between two speakers.

04

Local-first

All transcription, vision analysis, semantic search, and clustering run on your own GPU. Nothing about your footage is uploaded. The only data that leaves is the text of your conversation with the agent. It's free to download, local models are free, and a new account starts with £15 of credit and no card. For long-running cloud work, pay as you go, or choose £20/mo Starter or £100/mo Pro.
