EditAssist (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by FEEETZY LTD, trading as EditAssist, a company incorporated in Dublin, Ireland. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (editassist.dev) and desktop application.
We collect information you provide directly:
We automatically collect:
Your account data is stored securely via Supabase (hosted in the EU). Payment data is processed and stored by Stripe and we never store your full card details.
The EditAssist desktop application processes your video footage locally on your device. Your footage and project files are never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to use cloud features.
We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details directly; EditAssist never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or magnetic-stripe data.
Billing data we process. We receive and store from Stripe: customer ID, subscription status, invoice history, payment status, and usage/credit ledger entries (including model token counts consumed). We use this data to calculate remaining credit, generate invoices, and enforce plan limits.
Lawful basis. Processing of billing data is necessary for the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We also process it to comply with tax and accounting obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Retention. Billing records are retained for as long as your account is active, and for up to 6 years thereafter to comply with Irish and EU tax and accounting requirements.
International transfers. Stripe is headquartered in the United States. Stripe processes data under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), ensuring adequate protection for personal data transferred outside the EEA. You can read more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
When you use AI features, your prompts and related content may be sent to third-party providers that act as sub-processors:
We only transmit the data necessary to generate a response and do not authorise these providers to use your content for training their models. Each provider maintains its own security and privacy certifications. You can review their privacy policies on their respective websites.
We measure how editassist.dev is used with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we self-host on our own infrastructure. Unlike Google Analytics and similar services, Umami is cookieless (it stores nothing on your device and needs no consent banner), does not track you across other websites, builds no advertising profile, and the data is never sold or shared with third parties.
What we measure. Pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location (country/region/city derived from your IP address, which is used in transit and then discarded — we do not store your IP), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, anonymous performance metrics (page-load timings / Web Vitals), and a small set of product events (for example: sign-up, app download, checkout started, and purchase completed) used to understand our conversion funnel. Purchase events may include the transaction amount so we can see which channels drive revenue; this is not linked to your identity.
Session replay. We may capture anonymised session replays — recordings of on-page interactions (clicks, scrolling, navigation) used to diagnose usability issues. Recordings are masked: all text and form inputs (including anything you type, such as email addresses or passwords) are redacted before a recording is stored, so replays show layout and interaction patterns but not your personal information.
Lawful basis. We rely on our legitimate interests in understanding and improving our website and service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because this measurement is anonymous, aggregated and cookieless, its impact on your privacy is low.
Your control. Our analytics respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting — enable it and we will not measure your visit. You can also block the analytics request (to editassist.dev/ea.js) with any standard content blocker.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies, and our analytics (section 7) is cookieless.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
