AI Color Grading

AI color grading
match grades across clips and timelines

Match colour grades automatically across clips, scenes, and episodes. EditAssist analyses reference stills, applies LUTs and CDLs, converts log to Rec.709, and exports graded masters. Works in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut.

01

Workflow

Provide a reference still or a graded hero shot and the agent matches the colour science across the entire timeline. It handles log conversion, LUT application, CDL parsing, white-balance matching, and exposure normalisation. For multi-camera shoots, it matches the A-cam grade to the B-cam and GoPro footage.

The agent can generate LUTs from hero grades, apply film-grain overlays, create side-by-side comparison renders for client approval, and export graded masters with baked-in colour metadata. All processing is local and preserves your original camera files.

02

Prompts

  • Match the colour grade from the reference still across the entire timeline.

  • Apply the CDL values from the colourist's report to every graded clip.

  • Grade the night exteriors to match the reference LUT, then render proxies for editorial.

  • Convert the log footage from the Sony FX6 to Rec.709 using the official S-Log3 LUT.

  • Match the colour temperature between the interior A-cam and B-cam setups.

  • Generate a LUT from the hero shot grade and apply it across the entire reel.

  • Match the iPhone footage to the Alexa so it cuts together.

Features

Reference grade matching

Analyses a reference still or hero shot and applies the same colour science across the entire timeline or series.

Log & LUT handling

Converts log footage to Rec.709, applies official camera LUTs, parses CDL values, and generates custom LUTs from grades.

Multi-camera match

Matches colour and exposure between A-cam, B-cam, GoPro, drone, and phone footage so everything cuts together.

Local non-destructive

Grades are applied as metadata or baked into exports. Original camera files are never altered.

04

Local-first

All transcription, vision analysis, semantic search, and clustering run on your own GPU. Nothing about your footage is uploaded. The only data that leaves is the text of your conversation with the agent. It's free to download, local models are free, and a new account starts with £15 of credit and no card. For long-running cloud work, pay as you go, or choose £20/mo Starter or £100/mo Pro.
